It will have all the same content, same updates, and the same type of jokes. The only thing that has changed is the website theme. Instead of managing and updating my own theme, I decided to use WordPress’ Twenty Sixteen theme. This means less work for me and better content viewing for you. Why you ask? Because I was getting too lazy to manage and update my own theme. Enjoy.
You should always celebrate your achievements, no matter how big or small. Well today, I am celebrating a rather big (for me) achievement. This is my 100th post on my blog. It might seem rather small for some of you, but it is a big accomplishment for me.
The development of Retool is finally starting to wrap up. I am now only waiting for some of the final assets and the game music. Apart from that, Retool is complete. You can actually play it from beginning to end without any hitches (on my computer, not sure how it works on other’s computers).
Next month is going to be all about creating promotional materials, such as screenshots, Steam Greenlight trailer and contacting press. But enough about that. Below you can find all the major updates that happened with Retool in February.
Remember Akuto? Well I enjoyed making and playing it so much that I decided to make it into a full game. The full game will be called ‘Akuto: Mad World’. This will technically be the second game to be released under Hut 90, even though the first game is still in development. So a little background about Akuto. Since Ludum Dare, I have spent most Sundays working on improving Akuto bit by bit. Now, with enough improvement, I can say it is ready… for Steam Greenlight. It still is not ready to be released yet as quite a few things need to be updated but nevertheless, go vote for it.

2015 was a year with more ups than downs. So many things have changed for me over this past year, so many things I have enjoyed. Now, as I have done for the past two years, is to make the list of greatest things I have enjoyed over the past 365. But before I start my list, I want to say that 2015 was the year of Hip Hop. This will go down as one of the golden years. So many classics were released. So much good music. It was unbelievable. Now back to the scheduled list.
Lucy (the motorcycle I bought) has been stored for its winter hibernation. So now it is the perfect time to talk about my first five months have been with a Chinese motorcycle (tl;dr: they have been good).
I bought my first vehicle yesterday. It is a Lexmoto Michigan motorcycle. I know what people usually say about Chinese motorcycles but I decided to take the risk. It isn’t as I am going to be racing with this motorcycle. The most I will do is cruise around the streets and learn how to drive a motorcycle better. Eventually when I pass my theory and practical tests, I will buy a better motorcycle and keep the Lexmoto to play around with, as it is not worth much second hand. For now, I am happy with buying a Chinese motorcycle.
I should be picking up the motorcycle this upcoming Monday. I am excited and scared. Excited, as I will finally own my first vehicle and scared that my motorcycle will be the same as hundreds of other Chinese motorcycles: made of bad quality.
Before I decided to buy a Lexmoto, I researched on what I should look for when buying a motorcycle. I created a document with all my notes and I am going to share them online in case for anyone else who might be looking to purchase a motorcycle.
Just a small update. I am going to my first GDC Europe (or any GDC for that matter). I will be there as a Conference Associate. Hope to see you there.
I quit my job yesterday. I said goodbye to my comfortable paid job at Innovation 1st to try out and become an indie game developer. Maybe I am foolish, or maybe it will be one of the best decisions I will ever make in my life. Only time will tell.
