This was announced last week, but I never noticed that Retool was selected. But hey, better later than never to notice it. Nevertheless, Retool was selected as a finalist in the puzzle category for the TIGA Awards 2016. This is a proud moment in my relatively short gamedev career.

Last week, I went to Busan (South Korea) to show Akuto: Mad World at BIC Fest. It was a very good experience, but also a very surreal one.
Akuto: Mad World has been selected as one of the games for the game expo at BICFest (Busan Indie Connect Festival). You can join me there and play the game between September 9 and September 11 2016 in Busan, South Korea. Yes, you read that right. Akuto has gone international! From Vienna to Busan to who knows where next. You can find out more information about BICFest here.
Progress Update On Akuto: Mad World
Changed the camera (back) to isometric. Gives the level a ‘diorama’ feel. Also, a lot of other small changes/updates, such as bullet deflection and weapon throwing.
Akuto: Mad World will be playable for the first time at Radius Festival in Vienna, Austria. Come join me there and become one of the first people to play the game. Maybe there will be prizes there as well. Just maybe. There will be different games being exhibited every day, and Akuto will be playable on Sunday July 24, 2016. You can find out more information about Radius Festival here.
Akuto: Mad World Update
Akuto: Mad World still exists. I will be creating a bigger update in a week or two. As for now, here is a video showing the updated AI.
It has been around a month since I launched Retool and I thought now would be a good time to create a post-mortem on what went right, what went wrong, and what the future holds for Hut 90. So let’s get this started.
