Just a quick update to let everyone know that I have taken down the Steam Greenlight page for Akuto: Mad World. This isn’t because the game is dead. I am going to use the downtime to improve Akuto’s gameplay and graphics from the feedback I have received so far. So when you see the game next time, you will not even recognize it.

Retool April Update
This is going to be the last monthly update for Retool. This is not because Retool is cancelled, this is because Retool is finished! I will be announcing the official release date for Retool in the next couple of days, so stay tuned. Until then, you can see what work was completed in April.
Retool Has Been Greenlit
This happened yesterday.
Retool Demo Is Out
The latest, and final, Retool demo is out now for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. It is a small, three-level, demo giving you a glimpse of the core gameplay in the game. The great news about the demo is that your game data can be carried over into the full game when it is released. You can read on to find out the reason why I released a demo or just download it from itch.io right now.
Retool March Update
First things first, vote for Retool on Steam Greenlight! With that being said, Retool is around 95% complete. The main things that are left are the weapon meshes, testing and getting Greenlit. For the rest of this month, and next month, I will be continuing with marketing Retool. Hopefully you will see the game out this time next month. Below you can find all the major updates that happened with Retool in March.
Retool Is Now On Steam Greenlight
Retool is finally on Steam Greenlight! For those of you who do not know, Retool is the game I have been developing since 2014. The game is a 3D hacking puzzle game set on incomplete orbital defense stations that circle around Sinai, home planet of the alien species known as Onix. In the game, you play as Maria, an engineer that was captured in the final weeks of the war. Having hacked your way out of your prison cell on a station, you must escape and return home.
You can find more information about Retool on its website, press kit or Indie DB.
Retool February Update
The development of Retool is finally starting to wrap up. I am now only waiting for some of the final assets and the game music. Apart from that, Retool is complete. You can actually play it from beginning to end without any hitches (on my computer, not sure how it works on other’s computers).
Next month is going to be all about creating promotional materials, such as screenshots, Steam Greenlight trailer and contacting press. But enough about that. Below you can find all the major updates that happened with Retool in February.
Retool January Update
Below are all the updates that happened in January. Believe me when I say this, but I am very proud of what I have accomplished this month.
Akuto: Mad World
Remember Akuto? Well I enjoyed making and playing it so much that I decided to make it into a full game. The full game will be called ‘Akuto: Mad World’. This will technically be the second game to be released under Hut 90, even though the first game is still in development. So a little background about Akuto. Since Ludum Dare, I have spent most Sundays working on improving Akuto bit by bit. Now, with enough improvement, I can say it is ready… for Steam Greenlight. It still is not ready to be released yet as quite a few things need to be updated but nevertheless, go vote for it.
Below are links where you can find Akuto: Mad World on the web and the two Steam Greenlight trailers for Akuto: Mad World.

So after a 9:1 ratio of composers to illustrators that applied (82 composers, 9 illustrators), I have finally managed to narrow it down to the individuals who will help me improve Retool. Liz Rainsberry will be composing the music for Retool and Kimberly Parker will be creating the promo art for Retool.
Other than that, Retool is making good progress. I am still hoping to release it in the next few months but this will all depend on QA testing and how that turns out..
