This was the first game jam I had participated in 2014. GM48 is a game jam that happens every season (3 months) where the goal is to create a game using GameMaker Studio in 48 hours. The theme for this game jam was ‘One Minute’. I created a game called Space Miner.

So this weekend was Ludum Dare 48. This is a game jam where the goal is to make a game in 48 hours based around a theme. The theme for Ludum Dare #28 was ‘You Only Get One’. I started by thinking of ideas on what to create my game about. I wrote all the ideas down and then I chose to go with my favorite idea.
GameBoy Jam 2 – Office
This game was created for GameBoy Jam 2. It is a puzzle platformer where the goal is to reach the exit of the level as fast as possible whilst avoiding the robots and hazards. The player can use their portal gun to create portals to teleport in the level. The player can also collect office supplies to achieve a greater score.
GameBoy Jam 2 – Development Log
I decided to participate in GameBoy Jam 2. I decided to make a puzzle platformer game set in a office. As the jam goes on I will state the rules clearer for what the game is. This is because I will know what I will be able to implement depending on how much time there is remaining.
GameBoy Jam 2
I recently heard of the GameBoy Jam and I have decided to enter their second jam. GB Jam is video game development jam where developers create a game based around the theme of GameBoy. There are only three rules to the GB Jam. They are:
- Game must be GameBoy Themed.
- Keep in the original GameBoy screen resolution of 160px x 144px.
- Use only 4 colors in your game.
It is that time again. After four long months of waiting, I was going to enter my first Ludum Dare 48 game jam. Unfortunately, couple of weeks prior of the jam starting, I found out that I was not going to be able to enter (who decides to get married on a Ludum Dare weekend?!).
Instead of not doing anything, I decided that I will write about the game I would develop if I was entering the jam. I found out the theme was 10 seconds. Hmm… interesting theme. After thinking about it for a few hours, I thought of a good game that would have matched the theme brilliantly.

GMC Jam #11
Tonight is GameMaker Community Jam 11 (and my first ever game jam). I will have 72 hours to make a game from scratch using GameMaker. The theme for the game will be announced tonight. There is nothing more I can say as I sit here staring at the countdown timer, eagerly waiting to start.
