This month’s development was 1 step forward and 2 steps backward.

This past month I have been focusing on the melee combat, something that also Will Smith seems to be focused on right now.

I’m 2 for 2 in 2022 with updates. But this update is going to be a much smaller one, as I did not have a chance to do much work on my games.

2021 was a bad year for me with regards to keeping my blog updated. So for this year I have decided to create monthly updates regarding the status of my projects. So check out what I have been doing in the first month of 2022.

Nine years and still here. More movie and music focused this year as I’ve been busy with… stuff. I know this cliché at this point, but more updates coming soon.

So let me start this post by saying I know it has been a long time since I last posted something. You can technically consider this the first post of the year since the other post I made this year was for the announcement of Akuto: Showdown for Xbox. So here is a quick recap of what I have been doing for the past few months.
Buy it now from Xbox US or Xbox UK.
Also available from Steam, Humble Store, and itch.io.

The design decision to make Akuto: Showdown go from 3D to 2.5D in Akuto Zero was to implement a much-requested feature from players: physics movement.

I designed and made a second test level for Akuto Zero. The level layout is much simpler, with less items and no destructible objects. I think this level fixes a lot of the issues I had with the first level, primarily readability.
