Akuto: Mad World November Update
Welcome to November’s monthly update for Akuto: Mad World. There was no new content released this month, as I was focusing on important behind-the-scenes business for Akuto: Mad World during October. I completed that work, which led to some bad and good news.
You can read on to see what happened in November. At the bottom of this post, you will find what I am planning for next month. And remember, if you like the game, recommend it to your friends or leave us a review.

Akuto: Mad World October Update
This month I decided not to release any updates. This was because I wanted to focus on important behind-the-scenes business for Akuto: Mad World. This included what features the final game will have (online is a near-certainty), art, and release date.
The next update I plan to release will be in November, and hopefully it will include good news.

Akuto: Mad World September Update
Welcome to September’s monthly update for Akuto: Mad World. This was a busy month, especially compared to the last few months. I updated the game engine, updated the art for the character and bullets, added new VFXs, and released a new level.

Akuto: Mad World August Update
Welcome to August’s monthly update for Akuto: Mad World. This month I coded all the power-ups and specials in the game, and also released a few of the power-ups into the wild. I also managed to overhaul most of the bullets VFX and SFX, but sadly did not get the chance to release them. I decided to put the profile system on the backburner for now whilst I work on the levels and decide how I want the online to work.
This might not sound like a lot of work, and that is partly true. One is because I spent a lot of time designing weapons and levels this month, and two, my PC stopped working correctly so I had to re-install Windows and all my software again.

Akuto: Mad World July Update
Welcome to July’s monthly update for Akuto: Mad World. This month I managed to code nearly all melee and ranged weapons in the game, and even released a few of them on the experimental branch. I also fixed all the levels so that they are now in a playable state. I was going to focus next on the profiles system for players, but decided to push them back until next month. Instead, I decided to design power-ups and specials for the game. There will be more information regarding them next month.

Akuto: Mad World June Update
Welcome to June’s monthly update for Akuto: Mad World. So talks with a third-party have progressed further and it looks like I will be releasing a different Akuto: Mad World to the one I planned. I got quite a lot of work done this month, but most of that was deleting old code. The process has started to mold the game into the new vision, which I hope to have ready for release in around 9 months. This might sound like a long time away, but with the amount of work to do, it is the earliest the game can possibly get ready.

This Friday and Saturday (June 1 and June 2), I will be showcasing Akuto: Mad World at Norwich Gaming Festival.
This will probably be one of the last times I will showcase the game before the final release. I might also showcase an experimental version of the game for a few hours on Saturday to get feedback on what people think.
As usual, you will be able to play the game, buy merchandise, and buy Steam keys for a discount.
Come say hi and play the game.
Akuto: Mad World May Update
Welcome to May’s monthly update for Akuto: Mad World. This month I did not get much work on the game completed as I would have liked, due to handling the business side of game development. Depending on how the next few weeks ago, Akuto: Mad World could become a completely different game when it is completed.
